Why A Great Web Site Will Improve Sales

By

Studies suggest that over 95% of websites on the Internet are used as a small business, online marketing tool, to connect and deliver a compelling message. And the most integral part of any online marketing arsenal is catering to the audience: attracting clients, communicating and interacting with them, getting them to trust you and compel them to return. It all starts with the web design.

The Internet has become one of the most powerful weapons in small business advertising and marketing. Having a user-friendly site is as important as having a business phone number.

Everything about the site, from the way it looks to the way it works must meet the quality standards of the target market.

While a good design can greatly enhance your business, a poorly designed site can seriously hurt the bottom line.
A website tells a story about the business and sells an image. An enticing web design can;

• Create a positive image and a distinctive brand for the business
• Save thousands of dollars in marketing materials
• Generate sales and business around the clock, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week
• Encourage a business to reach internationally and exponentially

On the other hand, poorly designed websites can;

• Reflect the quality of the brand and generates a poor image
• Limit the marketing reach and distribution channels
• Cause customer satisfaction, thereby limiting sales

The Path to a great website

Year after year, the foremost complaint of online website visitors has been bad navigation, slow loading sites that are poorly structured and unwelcoming designs. Simply said, the designer dropped the ball. Users do not want frustrations when visiting a website and it’s the quickest way to send them right over to the competitor.

It all boils down to creating a great user experience. Clearly, many factors contribute to the quality of the user experience. However, research shows that the aesthetics of web design and content directly influence a visitor’s preference for shopping.

It makes sense today that a customer base depends on the web design, doesn’t it? Customers are never compelled to shop an ugly store. People have to be inspired to enter into a store and take a look around. It must be something that’s fresh and well-organized, with a plan behind the theme.

The success of online marketing goes hand-in-hand with website design. While the design attracts the eye, the message reels them in and will portray the business image in an appealing way. This strategy is what attracts clientele and inspires them to make a purchase.

The bottom line is a website that is built with the user in mind is more likely to attract the right visitors and turn them into customers. A great website design makes it easy for the customer to navigate and find things and feel upbeat while they’re doing it.

Combine good web design with a competitive online marketing strategy and any small business can become unstoppable.

There's certainly a lot of truth to what youre saying here. People always underestimate the importance that presenttation and design has. That's one of the main factors for us all when visiitng a new site to make a purchase. If it looks professional, then half of the battle is already won.
